It was a smoky day in New York. The clouds were dull gray and the people looked sullen and depressed. I strutted around on the city's concrete in my gogo boots and fishnet gloves. Popping a cigarette in my mouth, I lit it up carelessly and let a out a puff of smoke through my nose. I pulled out my Blackberry and looked at the time. Man, Jo should be here any second.
And speaking of the man himself, he came out of the drug store where I was walking next to. He opened up a new pack of cigarettes and pulled one out. "Hey Gaga," his husky voice slurred at me. He gave me a smile and lit up his cigarette with a match.
"Hey Jo," I answered him back. "How's it going?"
"It's been pretty well," he gruffly replied. "I met a lady in the Upper Side."
"Whats her name?" I took a whiff of my cigarette.
"Yuyi," he smiled. "She's damn pretty, I'll tell you that. I took her to my place last night and she wanted to, you know, fuck me."
"So what did you do? Did you say yes?"
He nodded, looking a tad guilty. "I know I shouldn't of, but I really liked this chick. She's a bad ass like me."
I scratched my chin. "Was she good in bed?"
"Very," he answered with a grin, taking a puff. "Best lady I ever slept with."
I started to laugh. "That's fucking awesome."
We turned the corner and Jo led me to a smoky alley. My cigarette was just a stub so I trashed it on the ground. Jo was still smoking his. He scratched the side of his head and twitched his nose. "This is where I usually go to think my thoughts out." He kicked some little pebbles with his shoes. "I hope Yuyi doesn't leave me. But she probably won't."
He looked up into the cloudy sky. "But if she did, I would walk a thousand miles to get to her."
I smiled, thinking how romantic that was.
"Are you still dating that Luc Carl guy?" he asked. "I hope you aren't. He's a douche."
"I really don't know," I answered. "But you know that I will always love him no matter what."
He rolled his eyes. "Whatever." He kicked himself off the wall and started strolling down the alley. "I'll catch you later, Gaga." He walked off with his hands in his pockets.
