VERONICA:
"She rolled my hair and put my lipstick on," Veronica mumbled into her bathroom mirror as she put her make-up on.
She put a pair of sparkling earrings on and gazed into her reflection one last time. "Damn, I look good sometimes," she smirked. She grabbed her phone, keys and purse and headed downstairs to the car park where her Audi was sitting.
The engine roared and she blasted Bad Kids as she flew down the road towards Monsters, the name of Kat's club.
The screen of her Android lit up and a text flashed across it. "Are u here yet?" it read. Underneath the message flashed Anyssa's name. She replied back with a quick, "Almost", and sped off down the road even faster.

KAT:
"Yay! Everyone's here now," Kat grinned as Veronica stepped into view.
Mark gave a quick scan of the table. Mandi, Justin, Mike, Kat, Veronica and Anyssa. "Carlo's not here?" he questioned.
"Oh yeah, I have a surprise," Kat continued. Carlo stepped out from behind the bar in a fancy black suit, suede shoes and a bow-tie. Kat smiled, "Carlo's my new bartender."
"Bit overdone there, Carlo, don't you think?" Mandi giggled. Carlo smirked and then prepared a drink for everybody.
Mike asked, "Where's all the usual people?"
"I closed it down tonight just for us," Kat replied.
"Cheers!" they all shouted as they clanked their glasses together.

MANDI:
Four hours later, after she had consumed one too many drinks, Mandi excused herself and stumbled away to the bathroom. She leaned over the sink, stared into the mirror and laughed a little. It had been a long time since she had been drunk.
Through the mirror, she noticed one of the cubicle doors closed. She vaguely remembered Kat saying there wasn't anyone else here tonight, but she wasn't sober, so she shrugged it off and after a few minutes, returned to the group.
"How are you feeling?" Anyssa said as Mandi walked back over towards the group.
"Ehhh, I might go home," Mandi mumbled.
Justin gazed at the time on his phone. "Geez, it's after oone, we should all get going."
The others nodded sadly, it had been such a great night.
Mandi walked drunkenly towards the exit while everyone else exchanged hugs except for Kat who stayed at the table. "You coming?" Carlo asked.
"Nah, I'll stay here and clean up. I'll catch up with you guys later!" she replied.
"OK, love you!" he smiled.

KAT:
Kat finished closing up the bar, grabbed her bag and locked the doors of the club. Her smile was interrupted when she saw that Mark, Mandi and Justin's car was still there.
As Kat walked over to the car, she saw Justin and Mark inside with looks of boredom and worry across their faces. She tilted her head questioningly. "Have you seen Mandi?" they asked.
"Nope," she shrugged.
Mark hopped out of the car. "I'll go look around for her. Hopefully she didn't stumble off somewhere too far."

MARK:
Mark trudged around the parkling lot, with Kat following at his heels. No luck.
"Why don't we check around the side?" Kat suggested.
He nodded and continued walking. That's where he noticed something in a heap on the ground, by the sleek wall of the club, covered in what looked like blood. He kneeled down next to the object to study it further. After a moment he broke into tears while Kat let out an ear-piercing scream.
Justin sped around the corner yelling, "WHAT? WHAT?" He took one look at Mandi and yelled, "Oh my god!". His eyes gew wide and his heart pounded as he grabbed his phone out to dial 911.
An ambulance and police officers arrived shortly and loaded Mandi onto a stretcher. "Can we go with her?" Mark pleaded.
A police officer walked over to them with a serious look on his face. "No, you can't go with her," he said.
"Why not?" Justin demanded.
"We're going to have to take you three into questioning, along with anyone else that was here tonight."
"Why?" Justin repeated.
The officer just laughed a little, "Because you are all suspects."
