I remember exactly where I was when it happened. I was in grade 7. I had no idea what was going on until I got home, and my mom told me that my aunt had died. I remember asking why, and she turned on the TV. I remember seeing the tower my aunt worked in fall, and dropping to my knees screaming. Me and my auntie Michelle and uncle Tony were close. But after it happened, I felt my heart shatter. Tony went off the deep end and got heavy into drugs. I miss her even more as every year goes by. It's so hard to keep myself calm. If she could read this I would want to say:

Okay, so as you guys all know, I have decided to quit smoking. I plan on taking this seriously, so what I ask, is that you guys support me with this whole thing because my real family is so unsupportive. My dad literally said "Whatever." So I need someone to tell me I'm doing okay.

I've been smoking since the age of 14, so to finally quit at 22, is a bit nervewracking for me. I just ask that you guys be patient with me. I will be a bit grumpy, but I promise I will try to keep my cool. I will be sick, but I'm happy that you guys won't see that.
