"I don't know! He was right here then.. he wasn't" Veronica said choking back tears.
"I'll check the shaft in the basement" Jubtin said butting into the conversation.
Mandi and Mark watched Jubtin go down the stairs and prayed he'd come back

Meanwhile, on the roof, Mike was tied to an air vent.
"So sorry to have you go through this Mikal," A dark voice said. "but you and your little friends are going to have to pay."
Mike tried to say something, but the gag in his mouth stopped his words. Mike tried to wiggle out of the ropes around his hands. He was unsuccessful, but his phone wasn't. It fell out of his pocket and down the air vent.

"What if we called him?" Kat asked.
"It's worth a shot" Carlo said.
Kat hit a couple keys on her Blackberry, put on speaker and set the phone on the counter. Within seconds the haus filled with the sound of Electric Chapel, Mikes ringtone.
"Jubtin you hear that?" Carlo asked on the walkie talkie.
"Already on it" Jubtin replied.

Jubtin found the basements air vent and put his ear to it.
"This is it" he said to no one in particular.
He took off the cover and began to climb up the vent. The vent was just the right size for Jubtin to fit up it. As he got closer to the top of the vent, he found Mike's phone.
"Kat, Carlo" he whispered on the Walkie Talkie. "I found his iPhone. From where I'm at it looks like he's tied to the roof"
"Verify that and try to get him off" Carlo said.
Jubtin slipped the Walkie Talkie back into his pocket and began to climb some more
"Damn, this vents getting small" He said.
He reached the top and leaned against the sides of the vent.
"This will all be over soon, Mikal" The dark voice said.
Jubtin carefully took a nail out of the duct. When the dark figure walked by again, Jubtin drove the nail into his leg.
"Damn vent!" The voice said.
Jubtin saw him walk away.
"Mike," Jubtin said.
Mike wiggled a litte.
"Ok, just listen. We are going to get you out of here." Jubtin said.
Then an ear piercing scream shot through the vent and throughout the haus.
