"OW!" Kat yelled when Mandi kicked her.
"sorry, just wanted to see who that was and if they were alive" Mandi said.
"Where are we?" Carlo's voice asked.
"I'm not sure" Jubtin's voice rang out. "If we hang on until tomorrow, Anyssa and Solly are coming, they can help"
"But we don't even know if we are in the basement" Veronica's voice said.
Mandi saw Kat get up and walk toward the left.
"Found a wall" Kat said, "And a switch"
She pulled the switch and light flooded the basement of the haus. Looking around, Mandi noticed that Kat and Jubtin were the only two untied.
"You guys should untie us" Mark said.

Once we were untied, we decided what to do.
"Let's split up" Carlo suggested.
"Me and Veronica," Mike said. "Carlo and Kat, and Mark, Mandi, and Jubtin"
"Me and Carlo will go check out the kitchen" Kat said.
"Ok and me and Veronica will go check the bedrooms" Mike said. "Mark, Mandi, and Jubtin can check the floors below the kitchen"
Carlo found some walkie talkies and brought them over.
"One for each group" he said.
Kat and Carlo headed for the back stairwell, while Mike and Veronica got on the elevator.
"we'll check down here" Jubtin said.
Once the basement was ok they headed up the main stairwell.

Upstairs on the bedroom floors, Mike was checking Kat's room when the elevator dinged and Veronica stepped off.
"All good" She said.
They boarded the elevator and headed for the first bedroom floor, Veronica's. Just before the elevator doors opened, it stopped.
"Damn" Veronica said, "Must be a power short in the neighborhood"
When the elevator resumed and the doors opened, Veronica got out, but Mike didn't.
"OW!" Kat yelled when Mandi kicked her.
