Blog #1: Sex and the Facebook

You think we'd know better than to assume we know someone when we have yet to even really met them. As humans, this is just another big flaw we've come to face.

Allow me to introduce who we will call, Ted. Ted is the type of guy that you think you love before you've even met. He's older, attractive, smart, everything you could ask for. Ted is the type of guy you want yo start a family with. He loves children and can't stop talking about how he can't wait to get married. Then comes the day you actually meet Ted. It turns out that Ted isn't all that he turns out to be. Ted is really socially awkward and obnoxious. Ted isn't really perfect. In fact he's a lot less than perfect.

After you've met Ted for the first time you feel like the stupidest person to ever exist. How could someone so perfect turn out to be so....imperfect? Then you realize that maybe perfect isn't necessarily perfect. Ted had his flaws but don't we all? Sometimes we focus too much on the cons and not enough on the pros. As I think about how awful my experience with Ted was the more I can't stop thinking about how I want to be with Ted.

I think if you don't like being around Ted irl it isn't gonna work out hun LOL

But there's something about him that is......good. He is like cocaine.

Ted is like cocaine. Cocaine will make your face rot eventually. He may be good for a moment but will never fill the empty void. You'll still be looking and searching for some answer. Some key to make it all go away and feel better. When in the end the solution isn't somebody else, it is yourself. Be good to you and love will shine in when it's ready.
