Mrs. Osbourne,
I am responding to your open letter to Lady Gaga, and I am perplexed
as to why YOU are perplexed she went public with an open letter. You
reached out to Gaga’s manager as Kelly’s manager and mother to ask him
if she could address her “little monster” fans and stop them from
writing libelous, slanderous and vile comments about your family,
including death threats to Kelly. How do you expect someone to address
their fans without publicly doing so? This argument of yours makes no
sense. You say Gaga’s letter is hypocritical and full of contradictions
so let’s see what contradictions you have pointed out for us. Gaga said
Kelly’s work on E! with the Fashion Police is “rooted in criticism,
judgment, and rating people’s beauty against one another”, and you
“welcome Gaga to the real world”. You simply cannot use this bland,
overused excuse when you yourself are upset at the “criticism,
judgement, and rating” of Kelly. If you want to welcome someone to the
real world, do not go out of your way to complain over comments made
through the internet. Your comments on Gaga’s fur and meat are
completely irrelevant to the actual issue, which is the behavior of
various Lady Gaga fans toward your daughter. You then go on to insult
Gaga by calling her nothing more than a publicly seeking hypocrite and
an attention seeker according to her actions to Kelly. All she did was
state the facts that your daughter works for a judgmental show, and that
she simply cannot control the actions of her fans, she in fact
compliments your daughter in her letter and apologizes to her and anyone
else hurt by comments made by various Lady Gaga fans, so it is
completely redundant of you to mention the likes of Madonna, Adele, and
Rihanna. Gaga continues to spread her message of love and positivity by
trying her best to ignore any negativity that comes her way. It is not
her fault that her message does not get across to everyone.
Your closing attacks Gaga for wearing fur and looking for publicity,
but that isn’t even the point of this argument or any of these letters.
Why are you randomly bringing those two situations into the situation of
your daughter being treated badly on Twitter by some Lady Gaga fans?
Gaga never uses her fans to belittle anyone. I am not sure where you are
getting this idea from but I don’t recall seeing her telling her fans
to attack anyone. She apologized to Kelly, and others affected by her
fans, and still promoted them to treat others kindly. You end saying
that a word from her to her fans would stop all the threats toward her
daughter, but you are now criticizing her for saying a word to her fans.
You are an impossible person if you expect Gaga to privately tell all
her fans to be nice to your daughter, that is the complete opposite of
private. Use common sense.
Go like it if you haven't already. :like:
