    Thoughts about charts

    Post by Mikal

I have come to the conclusion that the only chart that matters anymore is the Pop Songs chart. The Hot 100 is no longer able to show what is mostly popular and deserving of positions anymore.

I'll be awaiting "Gentleman" to debut #1 even with its floppy first week sales.

Let me show some evidence to support my theory.

Let's take a look at Britney Spears's "Toxic". Did you know that song charted at #9 on The Hot 100? That's just one position above "Judas". Everybody knows the song, though. It is undeniably iconic and probably Britney's most well known song. If we take a look at the Pop Songs chart, you can see that it reached #1 on there.

Now let's take a look at the positions of all Gaga's singles from the Pop Songs chart and witness the undeniable slayage.

Let's take a moment to appreciate the fact that "Marry the Night" charted higher than "Judas".

    In conclusion:

Bye bye to The Hot 100, hello to Pop Songs.

Well, I don't give a shit about the charts but the Pop Charts seem to be more appropriate than the Hot 100. I could probably release My Hands and it'd debut at #1 on the Hot 100. smh.

    Not here for this.
    Leaving the fanbase. Bye.
Alejandro didn't go number one on The Hot 100.
